American Dream Medium
This
country is frac-
tured
(into
‘Us’
and ‘Them’)
and
this Administration
has
neither the power
nor
the will
to
patch together
such
a Great
divide.
Neither
side
will
listen
to
an Other;
nor is
there trust
in
anything
reported
by any One
who
doesn’t say
what
we/they
choose
to hear.
We ache
for naked facts
(untwisted,
unvarnished –
minus
the melodrama –
indisputable,
irrefutable)
so
we may understand
firsthand
where
the truth lies;
otherwise,
the rancor
will
only get worse.
We
don’t need
any
more Small minds
or Extra-Large lies.
We Demand
a Medium
of
some substance;
Brave
Enough
to eschew
the illogic
and fight
with equal fervor
for any
and every faction.
So, Who will be the First?

Sorry for the political 'rant', but instead of things calming down after the recent ugly campaigns and election, they only appear to have gotten worse. Seems everyone is yelling and no one is listening, and I'm not sure how much more we'll be able to take. But as long as folks rely on their "own" news sources and "fact checkers" and deny those of their opponents, we'll never move forward. We need a truly honest, impartial medium who offers the views of BOTH sides and fact checks BOTH sides equally diligently. So, again, I ask... who will be the first?
