I'm Not Saying
| PSC / 2018 |
Don’t ask
who dropped these jelly beans
and scattered grassy fluff;
nor who bestrew those wrappers
from some chocolate eggs,
and peeps & stuff.
The one who frittered bunny bits
will do some piper-payin’.
And I know
just who
did these deeds,
but let’s say,
I’m not sayin’.

Let the April 2018 PAD begin! And thanks to Robert Lee Brewer, as always,
for providing the daily prompts (link below) to keep all his poetic peeps poeming.

Pint-Sized Repudiation - PAD Day 29
Pint-Sized Repudiation
Perhaps I ought to
meter
and Celsius and
liter.
Mayhap I ought to
kilogram and gram,
but the fact of the
matter is
I was born in the
U.S.A.
and frankly, my dear,
I just don’t give a
dram.

A Little Bird Told Me - PAD Day 14
![]() |
| photos by PSC / 2011 |
A
Little Bird Told Me
You
never want to be
accused
of killing the goose
that
lays the golden eggs,
nor guilty
of killing two birds
with
one stone,
but
I promise
there’ll
be a chicken
in
every pot
when
the chickens
come
home to roost.
Whatever
you do,
don’t
count your chickens
before
your goose is cooked,
and
never put all your eggs
in
one salad.
A bird
in the hand is worth
two
pecks (sans bushel)
and I
haven’t got a clue
why
the (rubber) chicken
crossed
the road.
Your
guess
is
as good as mime.
