Nature’s Fireworks (a shadorma*)
Hot, humid,
glorious summer!
Clouds rumble!
Heavens blaze!
Mother Nature’s own light show
thunders in the sky.

Happy 4th of July!
* The Shadorma is a poetic form consisting of a six-line stanza (or
sestet). Each stanza has a syllable count
as follows: (3/5/3/3/7/5) three
syllables in the first line, five syllables in the second line, three syllables
in the third and fourth lines, seven syllables in the fifth line, and five
syllables in the sixth line for a total of 26 syllables. A poem may consist of
one stanza, or an unlimited number of stanzas (a series of shadormas).
p.s. Apologies for the lengthy video (2:45). I still haven't figured out how to edit & shrink it to create a video that Blogger will recognize. :-(
There ARE some lovely lightning flashes in the video -- but they occur at intervals with plenty of black space between. They appear at roughly at 2 seconds in, then 34 seconds in, then 1:18, 1:50, 1:57 and 2:40. If you've got the patience to watch -- or the ability to speed through -- you might enjoy! ;-)
