Winter White… Again

Winter White… Again

She’s
at it still.
It’s white…
again –
another ala-
bastered mess.

You’ve had your fill.
When will it end?
(That’s anybody’s guess,
I’d guess.)

March keeps
lionizing Winter.

 Your wish:
super-sizing Spring.
That’s just not the thing
she’s inter-
(ested in
pursuing);

despite the fact,
(you know,
the lamb
 could use a bit
of wooing)
another foot
of snow…

just
might

be your un-
doing.

  1. Enjoyed this poem! Yes, she is at it still (and if she wasn't as beautiful when dressed in white I would get even more upset...)

  2. FANTASTIC line breaks!
    This one:
    "another ala-"
makes me think of "ala mode." :) SO great!

    1. Wow! High praise, indeed from the "Queen of line breaks & squeezing multiple meanings out of every syllable" -- really. Thanks, De -- you made my day! :-)

    2. That "ala" mode visual made mine. :) Seriously a brilliant line break!
