“He
loves me. He loves me not.” (– from a game of French origin)
“Hate
is not the opposite of love; apathy is.” – Rollo May
Love Me Knot
Apparently paradoxical, but
admittedly a trilogy,
this riddle fully formed.
Magician’s trickery protects, reveals this
three-sided coinage – a puzzle
perpetuated by prestidigitation.
Clearly, only a conjurer could explain
how hate is apt to flip to love,
while love’s flip side is utter indifference.
