‘Twas many, many years ago
I met this laddie – don’t ‘cha know
‘twas fair o’ face and sharp o’ wit
(and that is but the half of it!)
Shenanagans – now that’s his style –
with smiling eyes and Irish smile.
And I was gobsmacked – bet yer life
when HE asked ME to be his wife!
This boyo’s handsome, kind and bold –
my “leprechaun” -- my pot o’ gold.
