Today’s PAD (Poem A Day) prompt from Daniel Ari is as follows:
Talk back to a dead poet. Choose a poem you like by a poet who is no longer living and offer a rebuttal.
MY "DEAD POET": PIET HEIN
I'd like to know
what this whole show
is all about before
it's out.
— Piet Hein
— Piet Hein
And so would I, my
friend, it’s true –
every bit as much
as you.
— PSC
The poem above is a "grook" by Piet Hein (16 December 1905 – 17 April 1996) a Danish scientist, mathemetician, inventor, designer, author and (yes,) POET.
You can read more of his grooks here: http://www.archimedes-lab.org/grooks.html
