Black Squirrel, Baffled
Black squirrel stops by daily
usually for a quick sip
before he disappears on his rounds
but some days, he stays
pauses long, pondering, puzzling
approaching those feeders from every angle,
his squirrelly brain certain that seed is within his reach.
Again today,
he’s left
baffled
