Let’s cease this
insane insistence
on improvements.
Stop trying to be
someone else, some
one better, some one
we’re not (we’re not)
cut out to be
seamless,
perfect,
faultless.
Let’s just resolve
to cut ourselves some slack, embrace our imp-
erfections, wholly
accept our selves –
flaws and all
