Two Days of
Summer
It’s
mid-to-late April when
(weeks past
her designated
departure
date) Winter
is ultimately
unseated, and
these two
delightful days
spring up out
of nowhere –
sunny, balmy, warm
(almost hot,
really)
so we’re all scrambling
to acquire
summer attire, but,
(as is often
the case, I’m sure)
our efforts
are pointless & premature:
the next day’s
weather report predicts
a lurking, cold
& wintry mix.
