She smiles
all the while,
she’s
telling you:
it’s OK,
I’m fine,
it’s all good,
and you
don’t doubt
that she’s sincere
(because
her words
are just
exactly
what you want
to hear)
so you keep
on
believing
even long
past
her last
leaving.
