What Astrophysicists Think
We are descendants of stardust
some cosmic scheme, concocted
in a soup of superheated novae
cores of ancient stars,
nuclear reacting
imploding; exploding
in a big bang;
mystical, magical,
celestial debris
spread far and wide
throughout space, and
(give or take a few
hundred million years)
breathed into life
