Exes and Wise - PAD Day 25

Exes and Wise

“The first time’s for love,
the second, for money”.
Years later she heard,
companionship came third.
She never did find out
what four (and more)
were supposed to be for.

Witnessing firsthand
that merry-go-round (the
tying & untying of knots,
picking up loose ends)
she determined she
didn’t need anyone else,
if she loved herself.

  1. :) I'm blessed and happy to have married for true love the second time around, but I love this. There was awhile there after that first one where I definitely declared this.

    1. So happy for you for finding 'the right one'. (I count myself lucky there too.) Thanks for stopping by to read and comment.
