Embowered
This towering
arboreal bower
tenders refuge,
breathes a peaceful blessing,
descants sacred truths and
whispers musical murmurings
when breezes riffle through.
This secret haven,
(retreat of leaves)
offers sanctuary –
a serene enduring lee
buffering me
from any and all
ill winds.
Though my duties
beg attendance
and my burdens
bid me leave,
still I’ll bide
a wee bit longer
and breathe.
