Rosa’s Fresh Pizza, Philadelphia
This is a place
that takes
its city’s seal
seriously.
To Rosa’s owners
that motto means
if you’re short of cash,
homeless and broke,
or just down on your luck,
for a only a buck ticket
(prepaid by a stranger)
you can get a slice
of human kindness
anytime.
And all they ask
is that someday
you pay it forward
if and when
you can.
