Roots
She’s rooted in the future.
Seeds yielded, sown,
blown to the four winds
to reappear – far from here
in space and time
her fruits will flourish:
her eyes shine,
her smile curve,
radiate in future faces,
unknown, unfamiliar places
and all
because
she
was love(d).
