Shoot
for the Moon
Once
in a blue moon
is insufficient
frequency
to enjoy a bit of
luna-
see, there are not
enough hours
in a day or even-
tide to
enjoy her sweet smile,
contemplate that sedate
face;
tempus fugit (all too swiftly),
and yet again tonight
I have prior commitments:
places to go,
things to do,
people to see,
and so, sweet Luna,
our date will have to
wait
once more
(but not, I hope,
until the next blue
moon)
