uncouple
by and by
she just got fed up,
overfilled, let it spill
–
she was mired, tired
of waiting for him
to step up,
show up, grow up;
he’d poured so many
years into beers
her love had lapsed.
so she (unendurably
riled)
over him (routinely
reviled)
finally threw in the
towel
and filed.
